Typically the most common injuries that triathletes deal with are overuse inquires.  Acute traumatic injuries can occur during an event or training as well.
The most common triathlon injuries are overuse injuries. These occur when the bod’s inability to keep up with the repair of the damage created by microtrauma.  The body’s tissue will then eventually break down resulting in weakness, pain and inflammation. Ignoring these symptoms and taking care of them will then lead to macrotrauma and disrupt the tendon, muscle or bone. This could lead to weeks or months away from training or participating in the triathlon itself.  Receiving proper care and diagnoses can help you stay on track.
